In September, 31 students from 7c and 7d were taken on an exciting adventure to Cambridge (UK) in order to improve their English skills and to explore the British culture.
The group spent ten action-packed days in this beautiful historic city where they were accommodated with lovely British host families. Not only could the pupils practice their English skills with their hosts but also with their excellent native-speaker teachers at the local language school.
The project week also included various social and cultural activities, such as fieldwork, presentations, a college tour at St John’s College, a service at King’s College Chapel, visits to museums and to the cinema, a traditional Afternoon Tea in the gorgeous Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester, a visit to Ely Cathedral, punting on the river Cam, two eventful day-trips to London and a lot more.
All in all, the week has been an invaluable experience for the students. Everybody made some really good progress and learned a lot about the country and its culture.
